Oracle Cloud free servers you can use forever
In this blog, I will show how you can get a powerful server with 24GB of RAM for free forever.
Whenever we sign up for a cloud account on Azure, AWS, or GCP we often run into blockers where our free credits either expire or are so few that are not of any use for our work.
But before we start, I wanted to share my book “Building SaaS the Right Way,” in which I’ve covered all the necessary details on how to find a perfect SaaS idea, validate it, manage cost, find the right team, check the tech stack, market, and more.
I encountered the same issue, and here is how you can get a powerful virtual server running 24/7 on the cloud.
I found “Oracle Cloud Always Free Resources”.
And this will not run soon or is very little that you cannot use for heavy lifting jobs.
Rather they provide resources like,
20 GB Object Storage Always Free
200 GB Block Storage in total Always Free
24 GB of RAM Always Free
4 vCPUs are Always Free
NoSQL Table Storage up to 75 GB is Always Free
So how to get started on this,
You need to head towards, https://signup.oraclecloud.com/
Create a free account, you though need to add your card but it’s necessary for verification purposes and they won’t charge you until you cross Always Free resource specs.
Once you have created an account navigate to “Create VM Instances” where you need to make sure to select the “Always Free-Eligible” tag resource only.
You can select your preferred operating system, I prefer going with Ubuntu as it’s perfect for my use cases.
Once the VM is created you can SSH into them and then start using them, as you want. You can run schedulers, host APIs, or do any other type of testing as you want in it.
In this way, you just created the entire server for Free and it will be there until Oracle decides to make money on top of this.
I have also written a book on marketing if you want to take a deep dive into marketing and know how to get long-term paying customers for your SaaS, “Marketing Strategies to Grow Your SaaS” which will cover all the necessary steps and strategies in depth to help you take your SaaS from scratch and get some real paying users.
